The Tailteann Games have been revived by Their Excellencies, The Baron and Baroness of Unser Hafen!!
Games and tournaments to run all day along with fun contests for everyone including a hurling game.
Unser Hafen Champion Tournaments will be held for Warden, Equerry, Defender and Protector.
CLAN COMPETITION: All spectators and tournament participants will become members of one of three “clans”
for the day. The Clan with the most chivalrous deeds and enthusiasm
will win accolades at the end of the day.
Clan Names:
Clan Dubh ("Dooov" = Black)
Clan Buide ("Booey" = Yellow)
Clan Uiane ("oo-Wayne" = Green)
Order of the day will be as follows:
Site Opens 8:00 a.m.
Opening Ceremonies 9:30 a.m.
Archery 10:00 a.m.
Rapier 11:30 a.m.
Harvest Lunch 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Hurling Game Noon to 1 pm
Equestrian 1:30 p.m.
Heavy Fighting 3:00 p.m.
Closing Ceremonies 5:00 p.m.
Children’s activities: Games and Activities:
All Games will be held in the Games Tent area, or nearby.
Children specific activities:
Youth Bilberry Hunt (easter egg style hunt for colored beads) - 10 a.m. - Lady Nest
Youth Stick horse races - 10:30 a.m.
Youth Jousting Tourney - (make a jousting helm then compete in the stickhorse joust!) - 11:00 a.m. - Sir Kevin
Garland making - 3:30 p.m.
All Ages activities:
HunkerHausen- game with rope and balancing
Robin Hood- big pillows used to knock another person off a board
William Tell- Archery shoot using boffer arrows at a target.
Throwing games - Such as horseshoes, ball throwing, rock throwing, javelin throw, or axe and knife throwing
These games will be set up for drop-in activity! Challenge someone to a bout and bring them over to the games area!
Throwing distance scores will be kept on the throwing games for later bragging rights.
Bring your guild and craft wares for trade or barter! Market will run all day.
Bring chairs and shade tents.
Site Fee - $7 for Adults / Youths 7-14 are $3 / Under 7 years are Free
Family cap of $20. $3 non-member fee applies to adult site fees
